Manage existing members

You can view the current list of users in your organisation within the Members section of BrightHub. With the administrator or owner privileges, you will be able to manage these users in various ways.

Steps

  1. Click Manage located on the right side of the page to view the available options to manage the user.

    If the User status displays Invited, it means the user is already invited to the organisation but has not verified the account yet. In this scenario, the available options are:

    • Resend Invitation: This option re-sends the verification email to the users from where they can activate their account. 

    • Cancel Invitation: This option will cancel the previous verification emails sent to the user in order to cancel the verification process.

  2. If the user account is already verified, it will not display the Invited status anymore. In this scenario, the available options are: 
    • Edit Role: This allows you to change the current role for the user i.e., change them from an admin to a user or vice versa.
    • Edit Access: This allows you to change what applications this user can or cannot access.
    • Reset 2FA: This option helps users regain access to the applications if they are unable to complete their current 2FA requirements for any reason. The actions taken by the system depends on the members current 2FA settings. 
      • If the member is using the Authentication App then the system will reset this back to the setup stage which the member can complete next time they login.
      • If the member is using the SMS authentication then the system will change this to email authentication which the user can change once logged in.
      • If the member is using Email authentication no action is taken. Instead, if a member no longer has access to that mailbox you should revoke their access and invite the new email address of the user.
    • Transfer Ownership: This allows owners to transfer the ownership of the organisation to another member thus changing that member to the new Owner.
    • Revoke membership: This will remove all access to BrightHub and your associated subscriptions for the selected user.
